Nobles & Co
We take a guided approach to our design consultations. Our designers will help guide you to discover what fabrics best suit the environment you intend to wear it in, which type of canvas will best compliment the fabric and your body, measure for accurate and best fit according to your preference, and help add stylistic details.
We have two processes in place to derive a beautifully elegant suit; semi-bespoke and bespoke. More details of both processes can be found in the second stage of the process below.
1. Designing
- LEARN We start the first part of your journey with a simple conversation about your lifestyle, your environment, your existing wardrobe, and the purpose of the garment being styled.
- FEEL With gathered knowledge of who you are, what you’re looking for, and what you want out of this custom garment, we help you navigate through our library of fabric swatches to find the optimal combination of the fabric, lining, and buttons. With 3000+ fabric collections for suits, tuxedos and blazers, it’s important to take your time to get a touch and feel of your options, so you can begin to visualize your look.
- DESIGN The final selection of fabrics, linings, and buttons will be styled in our personalized design system and retained for future reference. In this stage, we collectively begin designing the fine details that make the suit fit your personality, style, and wardrobe. Extensive conversations about the model (single or double-breasted), lapel style, pocket stance, button positioning, vest style, pant style, etc. will help bring the vision together for you.
- MEASURE Measurements are taken as the last part in our design consultation stage. 30+ measurements are taken in accordance with your body type and posture to create your unique profile. Additionally, we’ll be taking pictures of your body posture along with a set of notes to help our fabric pattern cutter create your look from chalk.
2. Fittings
- SEMI-BESPOKE. Within 5-weeks, your full suit, including all finishing details, will be ready for a final fitting. Your designer will help make sure every piece of the order fits perfectly on your body, and ensure there are no abnormal movement restraints. Minor imperfections should be expected, especially if this is your first suit with us, and alteration notes will be made to fulfill in-house. The final outcome will be ready to wear within 1-week, which will mark a milestone in your sartorial journey.
- Max timeline: 5-6 weeks.
- BESPOKE.Within 4-weeks, a basted canvas with a duplicate layer of your chosen fabric will be ready for a trial fitting. The trial jacket will be an incomplete version of the final, which will give the designer an opportunity to prefect imperfections of the jacket against your body, finalize the jacket’s button positioning, correct the sleeve length, and much more. Within 3-weeks, your fully completed suit will be ready for a final fitting where the designer will ensure the perfect fit. Minor imperfections are very rare, but can occur, in this stage. Any alterations, if needed, will be completed in-house and the final outcome will be ready to wear within 1-week, which of course marks a milestone in your sartorial journey.
- Max timeline: 7-8 weeks.
3. On-going Care
The delivery of your final garment is truly a moment to celebrate, but is not the end of our relationship. A bespoke suit has the ability of being altered to adjust to weight fluctuations, certain style changes, and even accommodating to changes in your posture for any given reason. For this reason, we offer three different levels of on-going care.
